The Mission Inn

Old world charm in SoCal's Inland Empire you should not miss!

Southern California continues to amaze me with all its tucked away gems. Built in 1876 and outlined with beautiful palm trees, the mission-revival style hotel opens up like an oasis amid the urban downtown streets of Riverside, California. Each spontaneous turn has a perfect backdrop for photos such as grand archways, lofty domes, courtyards and hanging gardens.

OOTD
I am LOVING the current flower/rose embroidered trend as it reminds me of the folklore costumes of my Serbian heritage.

It had started to lightly rain so we dashed off to lunch, leaving the other spots for another time.

A lovely place for lunch is The Mission Inn Restaurant. My sister and I prefer sitting outdoors in the courtyard as it is enchanting and makes us feel like we are back in Europe again.

I have been to this restaurant many times but my favorites are the Margherita flatbread and the Chateau d'Esclans Whispering Angel Rose wine from Cote de Provence, France. My sister had the smoked salmon tartine which was tasty as well. ;)

Boasting delicious food, great service and gorgeous aesthetic for photoshoots, I highly recommend Mission Inn for a mini staycation or a pit stop enroute to Palm Springs, CA.

They also host meetings, events and is a gorgeous place for weddings!

If you're craving some java, I recommend you head right across the street to Molinos Coffee. Thanks to my friend Taylor for the recommendation, this has become one of my new favorite coffee shops. My sister made a good call, the lavender-honey latte was absolutely delicious! It was not too floral or sweet as I thought it would be.

Grab a seat by the window!

Molinos Coffee is a great place to bring your laptop and do some work, so I definitely plan on going back soon!
